The Official Rules of The Colorectal Cancer Alliance’s AllyCon

$250 Travel Stipend Drawing (the “Drawing Rules”)

ELIGIBILITY

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance’s AllyCon $250 Travel Stipend Drawing (“Travel Stipend Drawing”) is open to any ally who registers to attend AllyCon 2024. Registrants must attend the event in person to claim the travel stipend. Employees, interns, trustees, Board Members, or partners of AllyCon, as well as their immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members, are not eligible to enter.

By submitting a registration entry to AllyCon, entrants certify that their participation in the Travel Stipend Drawing is not illegal or in violation of any law, regulation, treaty, or administrative act, and that the laws of their jurisdiction do not prohibit or restrict the receipt of any prize under this Travel Stipend Drawing.

RESERVATION OF RIGHTS

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance (“The Alliance”) reserves the right to reject any entry if, in The Alliance’s sole discretion, the laws of an applicable jurisdiction, including but not limited to the entrant’s jurisdiction of residence, would prohibit or limit The Alliance from proceeding with the drawing as intended.

The Alliance assumes no responsibility for lost, incomplete, misdirected, or late entries. If for any reason the drawing is not capable of running as planned, including technical failures or tampering, The Alliance reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the process and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the drawing.

ENTRY/SUBMISSION PERIOD

The Travel Stipend Drawing entry period begins on September 30, 2024 and ends on November 8, 2024. Entries submitted after this period will not be eligible. The Alliance’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Travel Stipend Drawing.

HOW TO ENTER

Allies are automatically entered into the drawing upon completing their registration for AllyCon. Registration must be completed via the AllyCon.org website or designated registration form.

Allies who submit a video testimonial sharing their story and what the AllyCon experience means to them are entered into the drawing upon submitting their video testimonial via the designated form. Any ally attending AllyCon who shares their story will be considered to speak at AllyCon in “Thrive Talks”. They will be entered into the drawing upon submitting their story via the designated form.

One entry per person is allowed for each of the individual drawings. Duplicate entries will be disqualified.

DRAWING MODERATION

The Alliance will review all entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not comply with these official rules. By entering, you agree to abide by these rules and The Alliance’s decisions, which are final and binding.

RESULTS

Winners will be selected weekly through a random drawing and will be notified within 72 hours of each weekly drawing. The Alliance staff will notify winners via the email address provided at the time of registration. Winners will have 7 days to respond and claim their prize. If the winner fails to claim the prize within the 7-day period, a new winner will be selected at random, and the process will continue until the prize is claimed.

PRIZE

The prize for this drawing is a $250 travel stipend, which will be distributed via check at AllyCon in Miami. The stipend is intended to help offset travel expenses. No cash alternatives or substitute prizes will be provided.

Winners must attend AllyCon in person to claim their travel stipend. All taxes, fees, and additional costs associated with claiming the prize are the responsibility of the winner.

POTENTIAL WINNER REQUIREMENTS

Winners may be required to provide proof of eligibility or complete additional forms, such as liability/publicity releases, within 10 calendar days. Failure to provide the necessary information may result in disqualification, and an alternate winner may be selected.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

If the administration or operation of the Travel Stipend Drawing is impaired in any way, The Alliance may, at its sole discretion, suspend the drawing, or award the prize based on eligible entries received before the impairment. The Alliance reserves the right to disqualify anyone who tampers with the drawing process or violates these rules.

The Travel Stipend Drawing is subject to federal, state, and local laws and is void where prohibited.

RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

By participating, to the maximum extent permissible by law, entrants release The Alliance and its employees, officers, and agents from any liability arising from participation in the drawing or receipt of any prize. This includes claims related to unauthorized human intervention, technical errors, or injury resulting from participation or prize use.

PRIVACY AND PUBLICITY

Entrants’ information will be used in accordance with The Alliance’s Privacy Policy. By entering the Travel Stipend Drawing, entrants consent to the use of their name and image for promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.

DISPUTES

All disputes related to the Travel Stipend Drawing will be governed by the laws of Washington, DC, and must be resolved individually, without resort to class action, in the appropriate court located in Washington, DC.
